Update on me

I just wanted to post a little update on me. I am currently having a flare up of arthritis at the same time that I am waiting on my foot fracture to heal! My fracture started out as a stress fracture but last week I found out thru new xrays that it is now a full out fracture. The physican at the time I first had the stress fracture ended up wrapping my foot in an ace bandage and putting a fracture boot on me. It reminds me of something you'd put over a cast to prevent it from gettting dirty.

Full fracture? Sorry to hear that. Yes, by all means, take it easy. One of my staff currently has a stress fracture on her foot. As for me, I have been lethargic, since Saturday--lacking all motivation. Nothing has really changed in my life, so I'm not sure why I feel a bit blue. To add to the bit blue feeling, the weight loss is slowing, although I am sure it relates to the fact that I am exercising less due to feeling lethargic. Talk about a vicious circle. :-) Work is very stressful, right now, as it is fiscal year-end. My third grandchild is due before the end of October, so I am loving the thought of another snuggle bear.

I am hoping to hit 169.9 by October 1st, but I think that is less than likely. I am currently at 173.6 and I just don't feel motivated to exercise morning, noon and night to meet my goal. I do want to be near 165 by the time Miss Rylinn is born. I know. I know. The only person I am hurting by not exercising is me. :-)

It's amazing to realize how much weight I actually put on. The day I woke up and really took a good hard look at myself, I realized I weighed 45+ pounds more at my high weight than I did when I was 9 months pregnant. Talk about a shocker. I really want to be able to snap my fingers and make the weight disappear. Again, I know. I know. There is no magic pill.

((((( Jada )))))

Don't give up. Every setback is frustrating, especially when it's such a big one. Have you thought of using hand weights and just doing some strength training exercises while seated? It's no cardio workout but it is something and it's something you may be able to do. Also, maybe google sitting exercises you may be able to do. I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you but there may be some options that will help. You're doing the right thing by continuing your good eating habits. Don't let this slow you down girl. You can still do it! We believe in you and we're here whenever you want to vent.

I know this is jada's thread but I wanted to comment on your post and try to help you with some motivation. Look at those numbers Connie. You're less than 4 lbs away from that goal. While it may be unreachable in only 9 days, how reachable is it if you don't even try? I'm the last person to preach about this as my journey has fallen by the wayside at the moment, but you're so very close to that goal! Even if you don't reach it by October 1st, who's to say you won't get there a week later? But without trying, that goal gets further and further away from you. Find that strength within you. I know you have it! Just because I haven't been posting lately, doesn't mean that I'm not still lurking. =)

Besides being painful, that must be so frustrating.
