Hello to everyone!
I'm Fran and I live on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Im mostly stable at the moment since staying in our lovely house for a few years (before that we changed address every few months) and slowing down my pace of life. However Im just about to undergo a med change so Im abit nervous thats gonna make me unwell.
Anyway great to find a group of fellow bp that I can share with during this difficult time xox Ella
Hi, all! I've been gone for awhile, so I figured I better do the roll call first. Things have been crazy busy here and I've got quite a few things that I need to catch up on.
My name's Aislinn, 22 (23 on Oct 2). My dh, Alex is 23 and our son, Aryc, just turned 1 on Sep 27. Wow! Doesn't seem that old! I live in Rapid City, South Dakota, at Ellsworth AFB. Alex is Air Force and we just came back from Germany in 2003. We have one cat, Meatball (after the cat from Anger Management...even look alike!) and one dog, Jasmine. They don't get along, but Jasmine's a new addition to the house, so it'll take some time. I'm a stay-at-home mom right now, but I'm looking for a full-time job. Hard to find around here. Most jobs are farming or assembly line stuff. Not bad work, just not what I'm looking for. I'm former Air Force myself with a background in computer helpdesk/secretarial. I miss it sometimes. Other times I'm just sooo relieved to be out!
I've been bi-polar my whole life but was just dx'd about 2 months ago. ?? (Not real good with times.) Up until I was 20 or so I was severely depressed and very suicidal. Since then, I've slowly been transitioning into an increasingly manic state. Now I cycle very, very frequently (several times a day on a normal day) and am mostly manic. I'm on Celexa and that's it. It makes me cycle more rapidly, but it keeps the depressive dips more like the "blahs" than actually incapacitating, the way they used to be.
Good to meet all the new people and touch base with the ones who have been here awhile. Welcome to all!! Much love and support, my Friends!
