I love this time of year. You get to make all of those wonderful fattening comfort food things. Of course chili is almost a given for most. But what are some other good meal ideas for a hearty make you feel warm recipe? I like to do the roast in the crock pot and then make noodles to go along with it. I love mashed potatoes, but usually not my own. I guess I dont know the secret for awesome mashed taters. Meal ideas?

A cinnamon raisin bread recipe would be WONDERFUL, I was trying to think of something fun to do in my bread machine just last night.
I dont understand why I dont do homeade bread more often. I have that stinkin machine, and when I do make it, it *usually* tastes so great!

My boyfriend acts like I DON'T LOVE HIM ANYMORE if I don't keep the bread baked.
Haha! I tried making whole wheat hamburger buns once. Blech! They were dry, and amazingly dense. Like rounded hockey pucks. Since then, I havent tried again.
If my 8 month old would be happy for more than 5 minutes I could get a lot more done!
Hmm, I dont know about tortillas from the bread machine. It just doesnt seem to fit at all! I like a good soft tortilla, and I think that *me* attempting it in the machine would ruin it for me!
Its been cold and rainy here these last 2 days, and I could really use some comfort foods. I just do NOT have the patience to do them rght now.

My daughter's 6 yr old is in school, 4 year old is in part-day preshool, and that leaves a VERY clingy 14 month old, teething and toddling, attached to her ankle.
