Sorry to hear about your puppies. They are part of your family and your stress factor is totally understandable. No matter what happens with them, try to go on a walk or get some other kind of exercise for 30 minutes a day. It's a good release and will help get your stress level down a bit each day.
Side story. We have cats and one of them has always had health issues and it a sensitive, clingy personality. After I had my daughter our focus was on learning to be parents - feedings, new nighttime schedules, family visiting, etc. Our cat got a UTI that we didn't know about and the infection traveled to the bladder. He was on the verge of dying. We felt so guilty that we were not paying as much attention to the cat as we normally did and didn't catch his problem in time. We ended up taking him to a specialist vet that saved his life - to the tune of $5K.(!)
I was just thinking... that maybe your best bet is just to let your feelings flow out freely instead of "bottling them up." You know, imagine yourself pouring your feelings out like Coke from a bottle, until the bottle's empty. I think releasing it can be helpful -- then afterwards, when you feel like the "bottle's empty" then you can go for a walk, listen to some non-depressing music or do whatever else that can help you to lift your mood a little.
As for your baby, he/she is tougher than you think! I feel amazed sometimes when I think of unborn babies whose mothers spend weeks with nausea and vomiting, or whose mothers unfortunately have to raise their voices/get angry with older siblings, or indirectly take medicines or drugs that their mothers either choose or need to take... they go through all that and yet still they wind up being born just fine. If you take a few days to cry, your baby will not suffer, trust me...
