Hmm, well, the stats mentioned are kind of scary. OK, I'm convinced to at least ask my doctor what she thinks. I don't even know if that same flu shot can be had -- by anyone who asks for it -- here in Italy...

YES!! More PG women get hospitalized with the flu than any other group after the elderly. Shot is safer than the flu -- at least while gestating.

I asked my OB about this at my last appointment. She said that pregnant women have really taxed immune systems - 'the equivalent of a person with cancer' (?!).
