My 3 year old is allergic to tree nuts and has had eczema since she was one month old.

Hi! My ds has eczema too. We use a cream called Elocon which has a small amount of cortisone in it. We use it on small patches of skin during bad flare-ups for around 3 days and it seems to do the job. Does the cream you're using have cortisone? Sorry, I'm not very familiar with US meds.

Using an antihistamine really helped ds when his eczema was bad, but be aware that you can't have allergy tests done while taking antihistamines, you'll have to wait a month from the last day antihistamines were taken, so if you've got any tests scheduled I'd wait till after they're done.

Since autumn is here, long-sleeved shirts will also help to stop her breaking the skin hopefully!

HTH!
