as far as seat recommendations I'll leave that to the ladies who are experts! Today I took ds graco snugride to BRU and traded it in and got 25% of the purchase for another carseat (had to use it today) and I got a britax boulevard 70 (RF to 40lbs, FF to 70lbs) for $247.99 -

BRU is having a great trade in event until 19 september - so you could take in the old seat dd grew out of and get 25% off one of the new seats you buy.
here's the link on the great trade in event

I know lots of ladies here recommend the Radian.

What Evenflo 5pt harness seat is it?What seat do you have for your car? A good inexpensive 5 pt harness is the Evenflo Maestro. It goes to 50lbs with a 5pt harness then becomes a booster seat. The booster seat doesn't last as long but you could go with a no back booster at that time and they are inexpensive or you could buy a high back booster seat. Here is a deal on Amazon with free shipping. Dawn

I think that might be the one in my car, it does go up to 50lbs but doesnt convert to a booster. I do want to get one though that goes up past 50lbs. Maybe a 65lb limit with the 5pt harness.

Is it a convertable seat?I am guessing the Evenflo Triumph Advance. If its that seat then yes it goes to 50 lbs with a 5pt harness. There is another seat called the Graco Nautilus but it cost a bit more.I would put that seat in the car used the most and get the Evenflo Maestro for the other cars that wouldn't be used as often. It is 139.00 at Amazon here is a link below. Evenflo Maestro is the most economical choice - around $75. It only has a 50lb limit, but it does have high harness straps. It might get your DD to at least 5 years old in a harness, but it really depends on how she continues to grow. However, it's not as economical when you might only get 2-3 years of use out of it.

Graco Nautilus - my top pick for a seat on a budget. It's around $150. Harnesses to 65lbs, converts to a hbb and a nbb. It will last until you DD is ready to go without a booster seat.

Britax Frontier 85 - most expensive choice, but it's the best one for really big kids. It has the tallest harness slots on the market and makes a great booster seat too. 9 year expiration on the entire seat.
