After a very troubling weekend, we are all home safe, and the babies are still cooking! As ususal, the twins look awesome and healthy, it's just my body that hasn't been cooperating.
When we got to the hospital, I was contracting about every 2 minutes. A couple shots of trib and some iv fluids, and a few hours later I was good as new. No more contractions. They admitted me anyway, for observation. (I personally think that they think that I'm not sticking to my bedrest, but that's a whole other story.)
After 3 days of observation, they have discovered that if I try and fight my pubic pain without some sort of support, my body starts to contract. As long as my pain is relatively under control, I don't contract. The doctors tell me that it's just my body's way of "protecting" itself...it hurts, so it tries to eliminate the source of it's pain. STUPID BODY!!!!
They've made some adjustments to my PTL drugs and I also had a negative FFN (yay!), so they are fairly confident we're in a good place. I made a bet with the doctors-- my goal is 37 weeks- not only will I get there, but I will be pacing the halls trying to speed up my labor! I just don't believe in my heart of hearts that my twins will be hugely premature. Call it mother's instinct if you want, but I know my kids are gonna hang out til it's safe.
I apprecitate all the prayers, ladies-- we've gotten (another!) miracle. :)
Talk to you soon!
