anyone heard from ack_gal? Kate??

just wondering where Kate has been posting. we were cycle buddies in December and I've been off the boards for a long time but am back now and was curious to see how you are doing. I see Amber had her little boy and was just wondering how you are doing?? and what is going on with you? If you know ack_gal aka Kate please let me know where she is posting these days.

I don't think she has posted anything for awhile. I got an email from her on sep 5th. She was due the 6th but didn't think she would go then. She had Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday but I haven't heard back from her since then. I'll let ya know if I hear anything else.

I hope you are all well and think of you all often and pray for your miracles.
As you know, we went through hell and back to get here, and I can't believe that we now have a real, live BABY. it's so incredible! Nicholas Patrick was born on 9/15 at 3:29 AM. 8lb 13 oz, 21.5 inches, big boy, and everyone (the doctor mainly) was so shocked b/c i was measuring small at the end, so she thought he'd be more like 7.5 to 8 lbs. anyhow, today at the pead's office, they did a more accurate measurement and he's actually 22 1/4 inches long, which is REALLY tall. 97th percentile!
I went in a week ago today on the 13th and got induced. they did it sloooowly. started w/ a Foley Cathetar to try to get me more dialated. by 10:30 AM on teh 14th, i was 4 cm. then they started pitocin, but the baby didn't like that, his HR went up so they stopped it and broke my water. that got things moving a bit more and i got dialated to a 6. still felt no pain up to this point. then i got worried that the pain might hit me like a truck, so at 6:30 PM, they gave me a medication which made me loopy. then at about 7:30 we started getting an epidural, which took an hour, b/c i have severe scoliosis. i didn't even go in to 'real' labor until after the epi had set in, so i never really felt any contraction pain,w hich was great. i started pushing at 1:30 AM and he popped out exactly 2 hours later. i did NOT like pushing, but I'd totally do it again in a heartbeat.
he's amazing, so sweet and cute and he's just a total joy. we're both so happy and blessed that he's healthy and now a part of our lives.
so, that's my update! Thanks again for checking in on me and sorry it took a while for me to respond. I haven't been online for about a week- just checking emails on my phone when i have a free minute or 2!
