Connor is off this morning for his very first college interview.
How exciting for Connor! I know his day will go well. I'm so glad you encouraged him to apply despite your concerns about money. I did the same and wound up getting a merit-based scholarship that paid for all of my tuition for four years, even though to this day I'm still not sure why they selected me over some other students that I felt were more deserving. So you never know what could happen!
I know the feeling on the money - we're doing more than that now for where M@ is going; he did get a small merit-based scholarship but what we're paying is still more than what you mentioned.
He could always get financial aid in the form of loans. No shame in that and it's better than settling for a lesser school. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him!
OOH, to me that sounds impossibly expensive!
He wants to go into ministry so the less he has to do in student loans the better.
