I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem in addition to mood swings. I really have a difficult time with the slightest little upsets. My daughter had an important thing going on an church and the ex never bothered telling me about it. But it was important enough to bring his girlfriend. When I found out about it, I just lost it. I ended up losing a day of work because I felt like I couldn't deal with one more thing. This is just stupid...I'm supposed to be an adult. I told both my daughther and the ex that I was really hurt, and his excuse was that I don't go to church. Big deal. The reason I don't go to church is because my Dad was an alcoholic, religious zealot who beat the hell out of my mother. How can I learn some measure of control? This happens a lot, and I distance a lot of people because I can't deal with things rationally.

Cindy,
Controlling our reactions/over-reactions to things is one of the things that a lot of us battle with, whether they're little or or not.
