Hey ladies.... I'm back to the old ways of being quiet and cycling.... My new doc added 10mg of zyprexa in with what I take already.....2000 of depakote er, 25 of zoloft, 600 of trileptal..... my period was six days late... no increase in the bone breaking stress. I did two tests and both were negative.. I finally started but (sorry possible TMI) I usually bleed like I'm dying to the point I'm weak but now just barely going through a pad a day..... is it the meds or do you think I should ask for a blood preg test??

Brenda,

I think its the meds...a lot of the antipsychotics do that to ya...its one reason I came off them...I miss you!!! You can call me at work too, if you can't get me at home...since i'm usually never there...

I'm cycling too...it sucks...

Email me and I'll give you my work number...

Love you girl

Hi Brenda,

Seeing as both of your at home pregnancy tests came out negative, then you can probably put your mind at ease about that worry. They have been known to be wrong, but more often than not those tests are accurate.

It is most likely that the change in your menstruation is from your medications. Maybe it's a nice side effect of your combonation of medicines and your time of the months is just going to be a little bit nicer with Zyprexa. Then again, women's bodies are mysterious and your light flow could be a fluke.

Either way, it's your body and you should know for sure that everything is A-OK. Personally, I would probably give my doctor a ring to see what he thinks. None of us here are professionals.
