Okay, I couldn't find the pulling hair out icon, so this one will have to do.

Traci,

If you think it will help--scream away!

Thanks Marci,

I'm not handling this well at all.

Traci,

SCREAM AWAY!!!! It helps...seriously...I used to get in my car, turn up my music REALLY loud, drive, and scream...LOL!

I can't believe your pdoc told you to keep taking what you're taking until Tuesday. That really sucks...do you really feel confident with this pdoc? Can you look around for another maybe?

Honey, you've made it this far...keep screaming, venting, yelling, and talking here!

We love you and are so pulling for you!

Hugs,

Keli

Thanks Keli,

The appointment is tomorrow at 11 and I'm beginning to think it's never gonna get here.

Traci,

You don't know just HOW MUCH sense you make to me. OMG, its like we went through the exact same thing! I too, thought it was "normal" behavior...the one night stands, the drinking/drugging, the spending money, the reckless behavior...i got pregnant with my son at 19...stopped that, got really really depressed for a couple years, then lost a BUNCH of weight, had an affair, same old reckless behavior, and the cycle continued...then FINALLY, it hit me, that maybe this wasn't exactly normal...so I researched, KNEW I was Bipolar, went to a tdoc, who said i was REALLY manic...sent me directly to a pdoc, got dxed...didn't take the meds she gave me for a year...ended up in the hospital...2 years and 4 hospitalizations later, I'm as stable as I'm going to get...but I am doing well now...and if you'd "seen" me earlier this year, OMG...

Anyway, I can really relate to everything you're going through...and i am proof that it does get better! Will you post an update after your appointment this morning?

Love and Hugs,

Teri,

Can't wait to hear how your appt. went! Been right where you are more than once. I tried the drinking route for 7 years before I was dx'ed. Glad you were just kidding. It sucks.

As for the libido thing!!!!! AAAAUUUURRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!! That can make me want to pull my hair out! LOL

Now to the screaming...I scream! It feels good sometimes. I do it even when I'm feeling good too. My Cats and Dogs have gotten so used to it they don't even finch any more. :).

Hope you get some answers from your pdoc today. There is hope. It does get better.

Love always,

Jamie

Traci,

Thanks for the update...the Xanax will help tremendously! I couldn't tolerate Geodon, so I can't help you much there...but others here have had good luck with it. Yes, it just takes a lot of patience...which is VERY hard for us to have when we aren't in the middle of a crazy episode...

You're so not alone...

:)

Congratulations on the Geodon!

I love it. I have more energy than I've ever had on a mood stabilizer. It can make you a little antsy but not manic. It's like having energy without the anger, paranoia, fear, etc. for me. I feel almost normal on it. I can keep up with other people mentally and phsically since I've been taking it. I don't feel like I'm a step behind like I have on other meds. I hope it works as well for you. Good Luck!

Thanks for being here.

Love,

Jamie
