Hi! Not sure exactly what to say. New to this board (have been reading w/o posting for some time now). Was diagnosed bi-polar 16 years ago (about). Was on and off meds for years (typical). Have been stable for 5 years now. Went through a med change about a month ago. Had to go off a med I loved because of a side affect. I was scared to death! The new drug is better than the old. I have a great psyc. and a supportive husband. All in all I've been really lucky in life (since I stablized). Thanks for listening!

Love,

Jamie

Hi Jamie and welcome! I'm glad you decided to start posting. We have a very supportive little group here and I'm so proud to be part of it! Stability for 5 years now, WOW! You should be so proud of that. I know you had to be terrified to go off your med, and try a new one. Would you mind telling me what you're on?

I hope you'll stick around with us and let us get to know you better!

Hugs,

Keli

Hi Jamie

Nice to meet you. Welcome to the board. You give me hope that one day I may find stability (as much as I currently won't let go) and a good life.

I was on Zeprexa and am now on Geodon. Had to stop the zeprexa because of diabetes. I also take Wellbutrin and prozac. Thanks for the Welcome!

Jamie
