First, I will wish you all a Merry Christmas, and I pray that you are in a better place than I am so that you may enjoy the holiday.

I've hit as close to bottom as I think I've ever been.

Hang in there sweetie, the holidays always make things seem worse if you are not doing well. They will pass and you will get the help you need

(((((Traci))))),

I second what Sue says about the holidays--they can make us feel bad & when we're already feeling rocky, they can make us feel a heck of a lot worse.

Hi Traci, and many many hugs to you!

Don't feel bad posting about how you feel just because it's Christmas. If you feel like kaka, then that's how you feel. It's how I feel too. So don't feel guilty, because then I'll have to feel guilty too. And we've got too much other stuff to deal with without feeling guilty about postings! :)

I've been reading along with you for the past month or so, and it seems like we're following similar paths, at least on our way to stability. I've been waiting for what seems like eternity for my meds to take effect too. And my pdoc keeps telling me to wait, I'm on the right stuff, I haven't been taking it long enough yet, blah blah blah! Well that's great for them, but we're the ones that have to live this misery day and night! I know what it's like for 5 minutes to seem like hours. And how utterly discouraging it is when your tdoc or pdoc appt isn't until the next day, or worse, 2 days away. And then when it gets there, to be told you just have to wait longer! Or try this now... that didn't work? Well, try this stuff instead but you'll have to wait a few more weeks for it to work. WTF?! And you just want to scream I NEED HELP NOW!!!! I can't do this anymore!!! I don't even WANT TO anymore! I know how it is, because I'm living it alongside you.

But the girls here are living proof that we can do it. And when it gets so bad, I try to think of them. They've lived through everything I'm going through, and now they're stable, and actually able to help people like us! I'm holding on by a thread until I see my tdoc on Monday too. She's the only one that can put me in a better frame of mind, and actually feel some hope about my future. I hate Christmas... this year is unbelievably bad. 5 minutes at a time. I'm sure we can make it if we stick together, right? Please hang in there. I'll be checking in on you all day (and night too... I don't sleep much these days either!) If I can do anything, please let me know! :)

Love,
Beth

Hi Traci,
I agree with everything else that has been said and don't have much to add but I wanted to know that I'm here for you and will keep you in my prayers.

Hugs,
Amanda/Schitz

Ditto to what the others' said, but also know that there is a rash associated with lamictal that is NOT life-threatening, and you need to make sure the rash isn't something else before giving up hope on it. My doc told me about one of his patients who was out of town when she developed as rash, and panicked of course and called him, and he recommended she see a dermatologist as soon as possible, and it turned out to be poison ivy. The problem is, ER docs will probably knee-jerk tell you to stop it that it is probably a drug reaction, even if they are not familiar with it, so if you can get a hold of the covering pdoc, that would be great!

Thanks everyone. I called pdoc's office but there was only the message 'if this is an emergency hang up and dial 911.'
