and I hope you are all having a lovely holiday season!

I am finally semi-settled in and have my DSL connection, so I am now able to pop in to say hello. I would highly recommend against anyone ever deciding to try to move around the holidays, just in case any of you had that in mind. What a crazy time it's been!

I've been thinking about all of you, which of course means it's time to get back on here and make a connection. I'm doing okay with my current cocktail, and am having some nice success with weight loss on the Topamax.

I guess there's too much to catch y'all up on to post it all, so I'll just say hello, and hop back in the conversation as time allows!

Hugs,
Kristen

Kristen,

You are wrong--moving at ANY time is worse than being dead--and usually a lot more messy!

Hi Marci! Good to hear from you! I didn't switch mood stabilizers, just added Topamax to the mix. I did switch pdocs, and just LOVE my new one, and we decided not to mess with stability since I was doing well on my present meds, but since weight gain and failure to lose had been such an issue for me, we decided to add the Topamax actually for the weight loss effect, and hooray for any additional benefit to my mood. I'm still on the Prozac and Lamictal in addition to the Topamax, and doing well, but thinking we might need to raise the Prozac somewhat. No biggie there, I'm only on 20 mg anyhow, and amazed that I've been able to maintain at all on such a low dose for any length of time.

Yup, moving stinks. Being from a military family helps somewhat I suppose though, in that I've been through moves more than I can count. (Between those when I was growing up and those I made voluntarily since graduation centuries ago, I stopped counting at over 20.)

Seems I only recognize a couple of folks here, so when I have some spare time I have to try to change that. I hope you're doing well!
