Just when I start to even out......had almost forgotten what that felt like.........I swing back to the highly irritable, yet depressed, mood.

Traci,

Thanks for the post. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time on a night for celabration. I know the jellousy (sp?) and anger of not being able to go out. We just stay home and watch movies and munch now. We used to go to an AA Party at a club when we lived in San Antonio TX. By the way you didn't sound childish at all...you sounded human! Oh well don't know if I'm helping much. I hope you feel better. Take care of you and keep posting.
You're not alone.

Love to you,

Jamie

Traci:

Honey, I am SO sorry you are having such a hard time right now. I know how horrible you feel because I wrote posts almost exactly like yours just about a year ago.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write down exactly how you are feelig and what you are thinking - keep track. Put calls in to your pdoc/tdoc if you don't have another appt in the NEAR future. When you get in, give them your notes on how you have been doing - that way, you don't have to try to remember how you felt when. ESPECIALLY if you have gone into an upswing - if you are anything like me you "forget" the downswing's severity while going up. Also, please make sure you are being honest with them. That was one of my biggest struggles - one I continue to have....I know what they "want" to hear and have to keep myself from telling them that instead of what is really going on.

Please talk to your pdoc/tdoc about outpatient programs at your local hospitals...they can be VERY helpful. I know with 3 kids it is next to impossible to go inpatient unless you have someone at home that can help you out and it doesn't sound like it is much of an option for you.

If you want, please feel free to email me - th305899@yahoo.com

Take care of yourself!!!!

I hate to keep asking all these questions, but I'm doing things that just don't fit "me".

Traci

Welcome to the "wonderful" world of being really manic. I actually spent a lot of time there once LOL (ok, for a couple years). The abilify probably has taken you down a little but not all the way.

As for where to start in cleaning it up - I struggle with that all the time. What I did this last time I had a mess to clean (most of my apartment) was start in one corner and work my way across the room.

Don't worry about asking questions - that is why we are all here. I still think you should NOT wait until your appts with your tdoc or pdoc but should call them just to see if there is anything that can be done sooner for you.

Take care, and keep posting!!

Traci,

Being hyper when you're manic is a symptom but, not a neccessary one. I can experience my other symptoms of mania w/o ever getting what I would call really hyper.

I am very glad to hear the abilify is working a little bit for you. I am also glad you're calling your tdoc tomorrow. You shouldn't have to go though on this.

Love to you,

Jamie

Thanks Jamie,

I'm trying to get a handle on all of this.
