Marci,

I just wanted to echo what you said about not quitting school.

(((traci)))

All my love and prayers with you today. I'm sorry it's so rough for you.

You need to find a balance between giving yourself entirely to your mother and not at all. As for worrying about whether you will have to drop out after the surgery, worry about that after the surgery. You won't have to drop out anyway, you can request a leave of absence (or whatever it's called)

Hold on. We're here for you.

morgaine, that approach your dh speaks of is very similar to what my tdoc has told me......changing maybe a word or two;) i've recently with very little things begun to apply this approach. 'baby steps' is what they're known as in the 12-step program i'm involved with. the whole thing with my mother, though, is still eating at me.
