Morgaine, are you writing your story or mine? lol.
This is also something I don't like talk to tdocs and pdocs about. I am afraid that they'd think I was schizo. I am a former Catholic, turned wiccan, and now I play guitar at a Christian church (don't ask I'm not sure if I can explain why). I am finishing up my BA in religious studies. I love learning about contemporary and comparative mostly.
I don't think you (or anyone here) is a total looney!
I too have higher than normal intuition and sometimes precognition. I do spells, divination, meditation.
I hate it when docs ask about that kind of stuff. I don't like lying about my beliefs but I'm pretty sure in their eyes ANYTHING to do with though transmission or reception and "special powers" would make them stamp a big red CRAZY on your file lol.
you guys are really freaking me out! I too have had "paranormal" experiences. ive always had an abnormally strong intuition. for the last 3 years i have been receiving images and voices when im next to certain people. i have actually started to "read" some of my friends and some strangers and am usually right on the money. In the begining it drove my husband crazy and he didnt believe what i am capable of until he witnessed it for himself at a party we were at. believe me, i dont go around just walking up to people and start reading them, i just seem to know whos receptable and who isn't. it seems to have intensified since doc upped my dosages. in the beginning, the drugs seemed to stop the images but now that im used to the dosage change, then came back stronger than ever. my girlfried who is a bonafied psychic says that they opened up my third eye wider to recieve the images and voices stronger. i have even gave her a reading and have been correct about her too. she told me to put out my shingle cause im ready to start taking on customers! i dont know about that but it really makes me feel good when i can help others.
i can sometime see vague images of people in my minds eye of deceased loved ones of certain people and can discribe them pretty accurately. i definately have seen some pets of mine who have died years ago.
i am soooo glad that im not alone in this! this is amazing! i think that beiny BP may have alot to do with this phenomenon because our senses are so much more in tune with the world around us and are willing to accept a different point of view because of our BP.
I totally agree. Why should we be the only power around? I too am spiritual yet not really religious. I've looked into the art of wicca, looks very interesting!!! However, I'm not sure which path I'm actually on.
I do believe in aliens, ghosts, demons, etc.....I guess that is why my favorite show is "Charmed". =o) Not sure that I believe it to that level, but who am I to say it doesn't exist, ya know.
I think maybe it is something we've connected to being bp, who knows.
I know for a fact that people do visit you after death. My father has visited me as himself. I've dreamt of messages from my grandmother. I've lived in a house with a ghost. I can't say Daddy was a ghost, I truly believe he came to me in human form, he wasn't transparent. I could go on and on and on, but my lunch is almost over.
I know exactly what you mean, and thanks for making me laugh. Although I claim to be wiccan I'm probably just my own brand of pagan. I also agree with what someone else said about God is God and everyone has their own beliefs (or something like that). When I was learning about Ghandi one of the things that struck me is that he said that all religions are just different paths to the same end, which is I guess why I find no problem with being a wiccan who goes to (and plays guitar at) a Christian church.
Anybody else want to stop capitalizing God...or at least capitalize it in every instance? I know in religious studies the Christian God is capitalized but pagan or other gods are always in lower case. I don't think that's fair.
Tangent...anyway.
Well, I used the special powers phrase because that is what they ask. And no I haven't seen the big rubber stamp...but I KNOW it exists (just like the htbc - hide the body committee...something off quitnet, don't ask).
Well it's great to hear everyone's views on this since we all seem a little hesitant to talk about these things....for fear that we'll be seen as REALLY crazy.
I guess since I started it (sort of)
i can't and won't say i don't believe in the paranormal. i just don't know to what extent i do believe.

i dont think i've ever discussed that aspect of my life with my tdoc either.

I tend to be a bit skeptical, though I really want to believe, there are just so many charlatans out there trying to make a buck.
Ah, so you recognized the wiccan tendencies ;-).
