I was wondering if rage is a symptom of bipolar? I mean I know irritability is listed among symptoms but real anger is different.
I find that I get really angry at times and just want to scream at someone or even the air. A lot of things just piss me off and put me in a horrible mood. I want to cuss at everything around me and just tell the world to f*** off!
Is this just a bad temper I've inherited from my dad? Or is it because of the bipolar?
Any thoughts?

Brandi,
Yes, rage can be, and in my case often is, a symptom of bipolar.
Ditto to what Traci Said!

Love,
Thanks Traci,
I actually take Trileptal and I have noticed my anger to be less. It's just something I've been thinking about for awhile. My dh use to get so irritated that when I was mad I would scream at him. But it
I didn't read other peoples posts, but I can tell you I have a huge problem with rage. It has gotten better since my x left the house though. I've noticed here lately that I yell at my poor dog (when she deserves punished) instead of scolding her I scream.
I know when I was on trileptal it was so much worse. Rage was really an understatement to how I felt. Although I don't take the trileptal any longer I still get the rage. I too feel like just yelling at the top of my lungs, which I do. But with regular anger, when you blow off steam it makes you feel better...with rage, so far I've found NOTHING to make me feel better. I've screamed yelled, thrown things, you name it, and it doesn't help.
Good Luck sweetie!!!

Thanks Carla for telling me your experience with rage. Sometime I feel like my head will literally blow off. It's such a bizzare feeling. You can feel it building and building until out of no where without your control you just loose it. I hate it.
I'm hoping that this will pass someday.
Thanks for the feedback:)
