I just flubbed up a phone call to one of our insurance companies. The guy was very nasty and demanded my name and accused me of mis-representing my company. I accidently said I was calling FOR the company I actually represent instead of ON BEHALF of. But he flustered me from the beginning because he answered the phone in Spanish and I told him I didn't push the Spanish button. It went downhill from there. Now I am convinced the police are going to show up cause he thinks I diliberately mis-represented my company. I am on the verge of a total panic attack-which would be a first for me. I feel the urgent need to run. I'm not even certain that I WOULD go to jail, but the thought is total anathema to me anyway! At the very least I could loose my job! Very scary!

Hey Jodie...sweetie try to calm down and take a deep breath or fifty...I freak out at work all the time, and i usually always find out that I have over-reacted.

Jodie,

First take a DDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPP breath!

I sincerely doubt that the police with come because you miss spoke. If they do, tell them what you did. Just be up front. You'll be fine.

It sounds like the guy on the other end of the phone was having a bad day. Don't let him rent space in your head. Evict him! He's not worth it.

Keep us posted on how you're doing!

Love,

Jamie

Rent space in your head! I like that one. I'll try to remember that one, because A LOT of people "rent space in my head"! I am going to take the day off tomorow because I just can't function here right now. I actually find myself looking forward to my surgery since I will be off work for a few days! At home I can ramble around all I want!
Thanks for the responses. They really help!
