Lilly,

I have a lot of respect for our CL and when she has points out a clear violation on a thread I am respectful to honor her wisdom.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.

Thanks E1!

I am so grateful for your input on those questions. I met with T today and she is great. I talked about EVERYTHING in my life that I've gone through and basically she looked at me and said "You never stood a chance"

What she meant by that was emotional neglect that started pretty early at home began a very long cycle of bad choices for me.

But there was only ONE choice that when I brought it up, I broke down. The tears came and so did the sadness, anger, shame, etc.

Not a single tear was shed when I brought up xAP. And yet that's what I BELIEVED I've been so depressed about.

It wasn't the A. I now believe I have found my core issue that needs to be faced and healed. I have been using the A and holding on to the crap that went on with it to avoid fully dealing with this one issue.

I believe that now that I've hit upon it I can begin to heal and understand exactly why I made such a terrible CHOICE to get involved with a MM.

Self destruction stops here.

Thanks again!

Love and Hugs back ~

Lilly,

You have shared how long you have struggled and it is so amazing to see you starting to heal. Thank you so much for sharing your triumph today with me and us here on EAS. I don’t get emo very often but your reply made me a lil teary eyed. To know that you have had a breakthrough and are encouraged that you can overcome gives us all hope Lilly. Even though you have only been posting here for a week, it gives the Newbies hope that they too can start to overcome the A if you can overcome all that you have suffered through in life. It gives the Tweeners (those with 90 days or more NC under their belt) hope because

Whether you think you can or you think you can't you are probably right. A parrot can repeat what it has learned but the mark of true intelligence is applying what is learned.
