The Squirrels Got Me!

Contact between EAP and I has been very limited the past few days. That combined with the fact that he had just returned this week from a vacation with his W and we had NC for 10 days, had the squirrels having a party in my head! I assumed it was over, that he just didn't want it to go any further and decided to cut all contact. It was very upsetting. As soon as I finished responding to someone else's post here about that very thing, he is at my office door. To make a long story short, we just kept missing each other the last few days and were not able to connect. He was looking for me and I was not in. He forgot I had sent him an email about that. He dropped off on our email exchange because his boss showed up and to take him to lunch. Everything is fine. He was more flirty than usual today. He wants to get lunch together next week and he is not moving too far away, just to another building, not another work site. Whew-I can now put my smile back on! Why is it we always assume the negative? In my case at least so far, there always is a reasonable explanation...I will have a full head of gray hair sooner than I want.

Glad it was just squirrels... and gray is chic now. 20 somethings are dying their hair gray! So you'll be right in style... LOL

You've got a lot of choices. If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore and you're not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice. ~Steven D. Woodhull

Did you hit the squirrels over the head with a shovel?

One of the easiest things to do in these kinds of relationship is to let your mind go nuts with all sorts of thoughts ESPECIALLY when normal contact becomes limited due to vacations or whatever. All you can do is wait it out and keep reminding yourself that this too shall pass.
