Ive been seeing a new tdoc and its not what i expected. He's a psychologist-neuropsychologist and he just sits there! he doesnt ask me many questions im the one doing most of the talking. the most he does is give me some stupid cds to listen to then session is over! im wondering if this is normal for this type of dr. the last psyciatrist i had delved deep into my subconscious, we talked about my childhood, my parents etc. i was able to get a load off my chest. most times i left there very tearful but hopeful too. this guy seems just lazy. he also requests my husband in on some of my sessions which is okay SOME of the time but not ALL of the time. this is NOT marriage counseling!! DH thinks i should give him till the end of April. He is a PHD and has developed all kinds of tests for mental illness so i guess he's some kind of "Star" im just ranting right now i know i need to find someone else, im so tired of changing drs!
is a neuropsychologist only for testing? theres no back and forth between us at all. i leave there very frustrated.
