Since we've had a number of new folks join us recently, how about a roll call and a bit of introduction!
Hugs,

Hi, I'm Cheri - just turned 37 years old and 3 days after my birthday was dx'd with Chyclothymia / bipolar disorder. I am on my second week of Lamictal and am already beginning to see a difference.
I have been married for 16 years and we have a DD who is 10. I also have two fur babies - both Dachshunds :)
I'm glad I found all of you -- you've been very supportive, and I hope that some time I'll be able to help some of you.

I'm Vista, 24 (birthday last week) married to my high school "sweetheart," and have a DD born 1-1-05. I was dx a little over a month ago. Origninally I was only dx as having PPD but when I started taking an anti-depressant things got really weird. Now I'm taking Wellbutrin, Depakote and Zyprexa. This has been the best combo so far. You guys are great. I'm so happy I found you.

Hey all.
My name is Emily - otherwise known as Miss Em on my school radio and at work. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I'm the baby of this group at 19 (with 20 coming a little under a month) and I'm currently studing media fundiementals (a mix of television, radio and broadcast journalism) at my local college. I hope it will one day help in the progress to a career in the music industry. (Doing whatever because I'll be able to do whatever!)
I was dx'd this past December, but it's hard to say how long I've actually been BP - nobody ever really kind of openind my eyes to a possiblity of there really being something wrong until I lost my first bf in August and some of the slightly harmful thoughts I've always had just got worse. Then pretty much every piece of the puzzle came together. Right now I'm just working on getting things ballence, both in the medical sense, but also in my day to day life, but that will be a little more tolerible in May when I'm no longer in school and have a little more time to get my head on straight and get a better job than what I've got. (The orginal thread is back a bit if you want the back story.) I'm currently on Epivalve and a seditive that helps me get to sleep at night (the name escapes me, but it pretty much stops the thinking when it's time for bed) and that's it. I was taken off Paxell and any other anti-depressants about two months ago because it was causing extreme sedation and I was unable to get up even for school.
But hey, I really shouldn't complain. The bottom line is, I'm doing extremely well for what's been going on and I should be proud. :) Welcome to all the new commers!
I'm also 24 and birthday this week...seems to be quite a few of us with recent birtdays. This is all overwhelming for me right now but welcome to everyone who is new. As far as dx etc we'll see what THIS doc thinks next week. :( more change. grr.
