Hi Missy,

I have always gone to the hospital when I have thought of doing something that would cause harm. Either to myself or someone else. If you feel like you or those around you are not safe it is time to go in the hospital.

We love you,and we want you to be safe.
Take care sweetie.
Love, hugs and prayers,

triggers

I was told "idealization" (sp?) was the reason I went back in the hospital the second time. That's having suicidal thoughts and planning on how you're going to do it. I was told a passive thought is okay. But when I start to really thinking about following though and details are involved that's bad.

missy,

what the other two have said is absolutely correct. ideation and starting to act on that or constantly planning it out is a definite sign that in-patient is the way to go. i had been in that position for quite a while when they were trying to get my meds right and couldn't go because i had nobody to take my kids. however, as a result, i was in constant contact with tdoc and i shored up my support network. and am soooo thankful this board was here, as this was

Nope, in patient is not an option. I am not even sure outpatient is. It is hard to find someone to watch the kids for little to no money and deal with the school schedules. But, I am not at the point where I need inpatient yet. Outpatient I have been considering. Thanks for all the replies.
