Lamictal and headaches

I have just started taking 100 mg in the morning and 100 mg at night of Lamictal. This is doubled from last week and I am now on week 6 of the medications.

The Lamictal is doing fantastic in how I feel, etc. except however I have a splitting headache today, and I had one yesterday also. Is this normal for Lamictal or do I just have a headache?

I am on 200 mgs of Lamictal in the am and 200 mgs of Lamictal in the pm.
I have noticed a headache with every increase we do. It has never lasted for long, maybe a couple of days. If your headache persists or gets worse I would call the doctor. Sorry if this doesn't help much. I just wanted to say Hi and I know some of what you are going through.

Take care.

I've been on Lamictal for a while now and never got a headache from it. you have think about any other meds your taking with it or maybe something your taking over the counter is causing you headache. tell your doc if the headaches continue and think about all the meds your taking prescribed or over the counter even what your eating.

hope i was helpful and feel better.

I have been slowly upping my lamictal, I just upped it to 75mg the end of last week and when I saw my p/tdoc on tuesday she told me to up it to 100mg and yesterday I had a splitting headache and I assume it was the lamictal because I'm not a headache person. I decided to drop back to 75mg for a few days and then try going up again. I take too much other stuff to be bothered w/ tylenol or motrin for the headache and besides that with starting the lithobid I didn't think now was a good time to deal w/ the lamictal.

Ask your dr if this continues.
