I am reading "The Bipolar Survival Guide". I highly recommend it to anyone interested. I have found parts that describe how I am feeling and have felt. It is truly eye opening for me. I still did not want to believe I even have bipolar.

For a quick update on me: I have not yet talked to pdoc, I see her on the 2nd. I am feeling half way decent right now. I have restarted the gluten free diet for my celiac disease and have started doing some yoga until a piece of equipment I ordered comes in. (Don't worry, it was cheap and I had dh's ok that I was not having an episode, lol). Several sites I have come across talk about the importance of exercise for moods, so I am going to give it a chance. I also know celiac disease can be adding to my depression and make it so that I am not absorbing the meds so I felt I had to do that diet too. I am on day two and so far so good. I guess what I am saying is that I am taking control of my bipolar and not giving into it like I had been. I know I need my meds but I need to do other things too. I want to do anything I can to beat this thing. (I have also not taken any laxatives in a few days, after speaking with a friend who struggled with an ED that she was hospitalized with. Just talking about it seemed to help me at this point. I will still mention it to pdoc, I hope.)

Missy, Good job on taking the steps necessary to take care of yourself! It sounds like you're in a good place. ('Bout time, eh?) Just keep at it, and keep posting.
