Appetite Problems

Hey all... I was wondering if anyone on here has had appetite "highs and lows"? I went for 3 days not wanting to touch food and having to force myself to eat something... to eating everything in sight the last 2 days. I am wondering if it's my meds.. or just me. Here is what I am on each day.
Abilify 30mg
Zoloft 100mg
Klonopin 0.5mg 2x a day as needed (rarely take)
I just recently increased the Abilify and Zoloft. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Kristie

I've never taken Zoloft, but my husband did. Whenever they increased his meds, he'd either be too nauseous to eat or would eat everything that wasn't nailed down. :)
I am not familiar with the other meds you are taking. Sorry.
My dd is on Ablify and now that I read your post, she has been eating ALOT more since she started.
God could not be everywhere, so
I'm on 200 mg of zoloft (among other things).

I definately have appetite cycles, unfortuately leading to my gradual overall increase. (If you can avoid fluctuating in weight as much as possible it is better). When I'm manic I don't eat or sleep. When I'm depressed all I do is eat or sleep.
That was at least unmedicated. The last 5 months have been different to put it mildly (okay, completely screwed up). I've been eating more overall (maybe the depakote/epival), but at the same time there are periods of intense dieting that appear to go against the rule above (but that is me dieting obsessively...and thinking I'll be able tokeep this up manic or depressed for a long time..ha.. every 2-4 weeks it all falls apart and I end up bingeing and then living on junkfood for a couple weeks :( sigh)
Hugs,
Amanda
Same here...I have not even been diagnosed definitively bipolar, but I've been having appetite "cycles" like crazy lately. In the past I've mostly been depressed and hardly able to stand the sight of food sometimes...leading to my weight loss and my friends even questioning if I'm anorexic or at least have some major "food issues."
But these last few days, I've been ravenous, and I know I must be eating at least 4 times what I normally do...I thought I was probably putting on weight really fast, but I think maybe my metabolism has also increased some to keep up. In any case, I've just given in and eaten more than I ever thought I could...so at least it doesn't seem to me like I have an eating disorder!
Sorry to get kind of off track...hope this helps answer your question,
Rose
Edit: P.S. Once again, I woke up at 5 AM my time and couldn't get back to sleep...now this is far from normal for me!
