Funny thing happened at pdoc today

I went to my pdoc appointment this morning. I was sitting in the chair waiting, when this man walked in. He paid his co-pay and sat down. Then he suddenly stood up and in an opera tone went "la la la la". Then he sat back down. I looked at the receptionist - she said, "All righty then". Then the man gets up - walks right up to me, looks at me and does it again. Then he went outside. The receptionist told the pdoc about it and she said, "Oh -- he must be off his meds again". DUH -- you think? LOL

I didn't laugh, but it took all I had not to fall out laughing. Sometimes it is just good to go somewhere and have a laugh the last place you expect to have one.

Too funny. I feel for the man, but still that is funny.

Question: Why is it when we go to our pdoc & tdoc appointments they make us pay our co-pay up front and when we go to our regular doc they wait until after our visit?

HMMMMMM.....is it because we're so upset when we leave? Or do they not trust us?

When I had just started therapy, I was in my psychologist's office and someone knocked on the window (it was in the evening)...I freaked out..it was a patient of his who could not get into the locked building, and he was yelling at the window at him. He knew I was freaked and walked me out while he let the other guy in...yikes.

And my regular doctor makes me pay the co pay upfront as well as anyone else, so I guess no one trusts me... :-)

hey carla, the reason our pdoc and tdoc's want payment up front is because they don't know if it'll be the same personality coming, going out!!! lol!
