weird you mention your eyes like that...mine do when I concentrate like typing (thus my typos non stop) and reading or doing make-up. I don't know what it is and neither does pdoc.

Anyway, good luck with your new dr, I hope you like him/her!!

(((Morgaine)))

I'm right there with you. I also have the Depakote weight gain, managed to control it and occasionally lose weight. For me I find that the appetite I had when I started the med has nearly disappeared thankfully, sadly I'm still emotionally eating.

I also fell off the alcohol bandwagon. Silly me. I was majorly depressed and thought it would help! Ha! I just ended up more depressed and suicidal! I'm back on the wagon now...a whole 6 days sober! I hope the same for you.

I also have a tic, but not from the meds. (I guess it's not the depakote then). I have a shruggy shoulder weird neck thing. It sucks. People look at me weird. I didn't even know I was doing it until pdoc said so. I was surprised that I'd end up with a new dx on top of everything else, but I guess I have to add chronic tic disorder to the list.(either that or transient, recurrent)

I guess I don't have any advice but wanted you to know I understand and am sending lots of love.

Amanda

Hi Morgaine,

I don't have any good advice for you except maybe to write everything down and take a list with you to the Pdoc. I know I get nervous and flustered when I go and forget to ask things... plus mine talks so fast I can't even understand what he's saying half the time... I'm not even sure if I'm taking the right amount of meds because he described to me how to take them but then wrote the prescription differently (to get around the 30 day supply thingy at the pharmacy). Anyway, sending you positive thoughts and hoping they can help you with the problems you're having... there are lots of solutions out there :).

i too have the weird eye thing goin on. if i look at some one straight in the eye, it feels like my eyeballs are vibrating and i look away in embarassment. i dont know if others notice or not. i see my Pdoc for the first time in about a month and a half on monday. so im nervous like the first time i saw her. i plan on bringing it up.

i've gained a ton of weight from my lithium. i lost about 8 lbs after surgery and the weight is slowly coming back in spite of watching my diet. alot can be the fact im bed ridden most of the day :<

the one thing i can say i stopped smoking and drinking due to surgery which is great because prior to surgery i was drinking kinda heavy.

so you are definately NOT alone girlfriend.......war is hell

Hi Morgaine,
The tick might be from the Zoloft. I was taking 150mg and it made my legs twitch, like the way you sometimes do as you're falling asleep. It was almost imperceptable, and only when I was sitting/laying down, not while I was standing. But it was annoying, and only one of MANY side effects for me!
Good luck :)
