Just wanted to say hi. I'm new to the board and new to the topic, as I only recently started to suspect that I am bi-polar. Having done some reading, I am realizing more and more that I am a classic case, so apparently I have some work to do. I don't want this, but I'm glad I know what it is now, because it has been wreaking havoc in my life.
I'm also pretty new to message boards in general (glad I found this one) so please forgive silly questions or mistakes :)
Cheers

Anne, I'm not necessarily a regular around here, I kinda come and go as my moods allow, but everyone has been very friendly and helpful. You've found a good place to talk.

Wow - both of my responses are from a Valerie! Interesting. Thanks for the reply. And thanks for the welcome. This seems like a really friendly board, but more importantly, productive. I have a lot to learn. I was (mis)diagnosed with major depression 18 years ago (I'm 35), and am only now figuring out that I am a classic BP (I definitely was depressed, but there was much more to it, as I am figuring out.) Everything on the list, that's me.
I was scared at first, I don't want this, and there's such a stigma. But then I thought at least now I know what it is, and can deal with it. I was becoming very hopeless, so many things wrong and not knowing why. Now it all makes sense. I am feeling a little intimidated by what I have to deal with now, but also very hopeful, because maybe I can finally feel better. It seems like there is a great support group here too, and for that I am grateful. Thanks again.
Cheers

Welcome (((Anne))) You will definately find a warm place to call home here...even if we all come and go or are unable to post due to our moods. That is why I have nothing better to say, but am really trying to keep posting even if I feel bad.

Welcome again, post whatever whenever you want.

Anne,

I'm glad you found us--this is a great group of ladies (and one male @ present, I believe) and while none of us are doctors, we're definitely experts in our own way.
