As my son was dx with Bipolar affective disorder I am reading more and more about it.

I've founf them very helpful, as have both my tdoc & pdoc.

I found they were helpful when I first started seeing pdoc, but after awhile I started to miss the whole picture and was too obsessed with trying to rate my mood that I missed out on the stuff i should have been recording like the physical symptoms and what exactly I was feeling. I did that last summer and it was far more useful.

Sorry, what I thought was going to be a relatively short jaunt to the food stamp office (to accompany a BP friend who can't handle adminstrative stuff) turned into an almost all day affair-- 2 1/2 hours at food stamps and 3 hours at SS---ARRGHHH!


You might want to keep 2 sets of mood charts to start off with--one you do & one your son does.
