Hello all, it's Gigi again, I posted here a while back. Anyway, I've been thinking about the positive side of my disorder. I remember that I have a sense of humor. I sometimes have to laugh at myself, in order to maintain a reasonable sense of balance.
For example, I've been working towards going back into the job market, and I've already gotten some Vocational Rehab. Anyway, I was at my Voc Rehab counselors office and I and found three jobs that fit me like a glove. And I jokingly said, "Hey! I can do all three!" The look on her face was priceless. And I could tell that she had no sense of humor. So, I calmed down and she maintained her composure. And I applied for the two jobs that I knew that I was able to get to. The thing is she wanted me to apply for a position, that I knew that I wouldn't be able to get to, because of scheduling, and transportation. (I'm physically handicapped, and must rely on paratransit, and they only run during the day, and this particular counselor didn't know that). Of course, She found out that I am quite capable of doing more than one thing, and that was through my training at vocational school and I don't have to accept her imposed limitations. I'm glad that I have the ability to laugh and make my life a little easier.
Thanks!

Hi Gigi !!!
God could not be everywhere, so
Hello keli,
Thank you for the compliment. Sometimes I have to shake a few people up to let them know that they can't push me around, so I use humor to do it, instead of ignorance and rudeness.
Thanks and Hugs back to you!
