I have some good news!!!!!

Well since I haven't been able to see a psychiatrist since April and have never seen a psychologist I ended up making an appointment for each at a new place I head of. I've already been in to see the psychologist and she's really nice. We got all of the "new patient" questions out of the way and I go in to see her again on Wednesday for our first session. I won't be able to see the psychiatrist until Oct. 20th because she is so booked up and when I do go see her it will be for a complete psychiatric evaluation.

Not only did I do this for myself I also did it for Jeremiah. Last Thursday we went in for his 1st visit and got all the "new patient" questions out of the way so his 1st session is this coming Thursday. Hopefully soon we will be able to schedule it where he and I will have appointment times that are the same. My psychologist works only with adults and is fully certified for the last 10 years. Jeremiah's psychologist works only with children and as of right now she is an intern; but she is very thourough & professional, plus Jeremiah seems to like her a lot. She said that she would like to get together with Jeff and I a few times to help us come to an agreement on how and when to tell Jeremiah that Jeff isn't his bio-dad. I'm hoping that really won't be for a while yet because there is just so much going on right now and I don't want to add to Jeremiah's plate. Jeremiah doesn't see his psychiatrist until the start of November because she too is so backed up; he will get the full evaluation as well.

I'm feeling positive about the move that I've made in order to better the both of us so we can work on being a healthy normal family. I do have a few reservations on how all of this will affect him considering he now knows he needs to has special education classes while in school and I don't want him to feel overloaded with everything. I'm just worrying if it is all just to "big" for him right now with everything going on.

I have a bit of extra good news as well. Jeff's best friend M is trying to get me in the door at the local superstore near us and I went in on Friday night for an inital meet with my hopefully soon-to-be-boss. His name is Dave and so we met and I filled out the application and he told me to come back in at 11pm this Tuesday night for my formal interview. Well as it happens Dave owes M a few favors so basically the initial interview is just a formality and I'll have 1 more interview with another head of the same dept. If I can talk my way through that interview then I should have this job which will be working midnights as a stocker making $6/hr until midnight and then $6.40 from midnight until I go home because of the shift differential. Now if I wait an extra 2 weeks I could be put in customer service starting at $6.50 and then $6.90 from midnight on but I don't think I'll like that as much even with making more money. At least with stocking shelves I can push myself and believe that I'm getting paid to "workout" with all the walking, bending, stretching, reaching and lifting I'll have to do. What better way to lose weight & inches than to get paid while doing it?

Please pray for me or keep your fingers crossed or both so that I will get this job. If I don't then we are sunk financially and probably won't have Christmas for the kids this year or any birthday parties for them either. Jeremiah's is coming up in October and he will be 9. Brieanna's is right before Christmas and she will be 4.

Thank you Catherine!!! I know that the hiring process takes some time because of 2 interviews and then going through orientation (that is paid...yay) before I actually start working. I'm just trying to stay positive that this is what I'm truely supposed to do to help my family out financially. That is one of my biggest worries right now.
