Mood Diary

Since I don't have a computer, I have begun keeping a printed out version of a mood diary, on the request of my pdoc and tdoc. Its actually been very helpful for me to track my moods, my sleep patterns, my meds, my side effects, my triggers, daily life events and happenings and other things too. Yet, its not a journal. Its something I just fill in the blanks or check a box.

Both pdoc/tdoc always ask me, how have your moods been, and I always freeze and say, UHHHHHH...I don't know. I don't. I never remember, because they cycle most of the time so quickly and my memory is bad some of the time. So this really does help.

Just thought I'd share. Its been an excellent tool.

Hugs.

keli,

those are great tools. my tdoc and i have been working on maybe getting me to either keep one of those or start journaling again. the mood charts are much easier, for me anyway, 'cause i fill them out, give them to tdoc, we review them and she shreds them at the completion of the session.

problem for me is..........i can't ever remember to do the things daily, so i wind up trying to think 'ok, what was my mood yesterday? etc.' so even those have fallen by the wayside. but, i've gotten better about writing things out that i need to discuss with her.

my dd started with the mood logs, now she has an online journal. she prints it out every week and goes into tdoc's office 'prepared for class'. lol!

love ya,
