Hi all,
Well, with the onset of cool weather I have noticed a decline in my happiness. This is doubly unfortunate because autumn is my favourite season. I haven't been depressed yet, but have felt more teary and less comfortable being around other people. That's the start of a bad cycle, because the more I isolate myself the glummer I feel. Start thinking things like, nobody likes me (um, better eat some worms?), why doesn't anyone come see me... sort of thing.
Any suggestions for dealing with this?
Thanks,
Beth

Hey sweetie,
I deal with the same thing, SAD, so I have no suggestions...but I want to let you know I hear you, you aren't alone, and send you some hugs.
One thing, do you have a "light"? I had to do the light therapy in the hospital once and they wanted me to keep it up but I can't afford the light.
Stick around here and let us all deal with it together!
Love and Hugs,
Keli
Beth....sorry this does stink !!!
can you get out for a walk, get some fresh air ???
I know my sister has a harder time in the winter also...I know there's a word for it...can't think of it tho.
I do the same thing...kinda like today, why is everyone annoying me, why doesn't anyone like me?

sorry, guess i have no real advise, just wanted you to know you are not alone.
God could not be everywhere, so
Beth,
Sounds like SAD to me--I have the same problem, unfortunately the pdoc I've been seeing doesn't see it as a seperate problem, says all BP folks are affected by the weather and that light doesn't make any difference--except I know for a fact it does just because of my moods on
