maybe there's hope yet. first, y'all were right with the bladder infection. and i'm on bactrim for the next 3 days. yippee.......one more pill. but if it clears up the problem, then so be it. what's 3 days?

it took some doing on my part, but i got the referral for the acupuncture also. at first she didn't want to give it to me saying quitting smoking will only be successful when i really want to do it. i explained to her that i really want to, but that i turn to cigs when my stress level goes through the roof. ya know, kinda like where it's been lately? but anyway, i told her that my tdoc and i are both thinking if i can do the acupuncture for the stress, the cigs will be next. get rid of one to get rid of the other. which is what acupuncture is all about. getting to the root of the problem. well, she couldn't really argue with me about that, so she gave me the referral. she wanted me to go through her clinic, but there's some "back-room politics" going on there that i became privy to

i too am glad they found the infection...i used to get them quite often...bactrim is a good med and it will kick it out of your system pretty quick...it may make you a bit nauseated, so take it with food or milk...

if you can pull it off you should go away this weekend...

i'm also glad you got the referral for the accupuncture...i'm hoping it will really help. Its so not an option for me, cuz of the needles thing...but I'm proud of you for take the steps you need to take for yourself. You've accomplished a great deal this week and you should be proud of yourself.

love ya

thanks keli. at least now i know why my stomach has been upset this morning;) lol!

as for the acupuncture you should look into it. a good acupuncturist has alternatives to those who can't do needles. i can e-mail the info i've got on my doc here if you like. and anyone else that's interested. tdoc says it's very beneficial for fibro too.

i do want to go away this weekend, but unless the kids pitch in to help me do what needs to be done, i don't see it happening. but we'll see. it's still cold and rainy here which makes me want to do even less plus the back ache. really don't feel like moving furniture and stuff today. can't imagine why. NOT.

i'm hoping the back ache at least starts to subside by tonight. if this stuff is like any other antibiotic, after 24 hours there's usually some relief. keeping fingers crossed!

still haven't heard back from legal aid. which really sucks, but what can i do? right now i've got to focus on getting well and hopefully then i'll feel like really bearing my teeth at stupid x.

how are you today?

hi donna,

thanks for your reply. yeah, i'm glad they found an infection but sorry at the same time too. i hate having infections of any kind. but if it is as simple as that, and goes away w/ the antibiotic i guess i can deal.

i think if this weather would break i'd feel a little better and be able to muster up the energy to get the stuff done i need to in order to go away for the weekend, that and have my back stop hurting. i'd take you with if i was close by for sure!

how are you today?
