Not really manic, but it was a good title!

Okay, so I didn't get my hair cut...ended up not being able to afford it...:(

So I told everyone, parents, dh, that's what I wanted for my birthday. We'll see if it happens anywhere by 11/1...if it doesn't, I'll get it myself when I get paid on Halloween! I love Halloween, btw! Anyone else???

The weekend was okay. I didn't get any sleep Friday night, about 2 hours maybe, so Saturday was a bit rough around the edges. Ativan is my new best friend. Had one anxiety/panic attack in the afternoon, frustration attack "I'm about to lose my mind" attack is more like it really...then my mom wanted to go to walmart for a can opener! I said NO WAY am I going in Walmart. I can't do crowds...

So, anyway, it was fine, and I was asleep by like 7:00 in the recliner and by 9:00 in bed. Yesterday was MUCH better after getting some real sleep. The weather was OMG Beautiful!!! I can't even describe HOW gorgeous it was.

My meds seem to be working pretty well. I hit 50 mgs of Lamictal last night, YAY! So, 2 weeks of that, then I can go to 100! I'm so excited about Lamictal, because it seems to be working on my depression too. Once I hit the second week of 25 mgs, I felt a little something, and then end of the 25 mgs period, I started feeling better...so we'll see. I hate to even say anything, but I do feel better. I've heard of people feeling it work on their depression at 25/50 and then on their BP at 100, and then feeling really stable at 200. SO, I'm really hoping. No signs of rash at all. Every time I get a little itch, I'm racing to look, but its just a mosquito bite or something stupid. But nothing.

Anyway, I got to work like an hour ago...early. I woke up early this morning, around 4:00 a.m. Dozed a little til 6:15. Then got up and came on in. Haven't done anything yet though and really need to focus today.

I took Halloween off. I always have, traditionally. When my ds was smaller, we'd always go costume shopping and stuff. Now he's too old and I miss that so much! I'm going to go myself anyway. When Teri was CL here, she and I LOVED Halloween, for reasons I won't discuss now, its a special holiday to us...we'd talk on the phone while i was in the store, buy certain things...it was so much fun. I haven't talked to her in a couple months. I need to call her, I miss her a lot.

Anyway, I'm rambling on now, about someone you guys don't even know! Sorry.

Love and Hugs,

Keli

I'm with you on the mania--at least as it comes to not sleeping.

That sounds really really cool, about the candy/halloween thing...unfortunately, we don't have very much going on here...but, I'll do something on my little own...even if its just a witch hat (ha, love it...) and passing out candy to a few who may stop by, and several little "traditions" i have...candles and "sayings" and such...

I just can't wait for it...and for me, Mondays are usually manic, so I'm looking forward to it even more!

I've been pretty productive at work today. Have a lot to do, so I forced myself to get started and have been plugging along.

I have to go to my old high school and pick up a copy of my transcripts for my college application. You were right, I can get in for the January term if I hurry. Thanks for letting me know that! I've been telling everyone I know about going back and everyone thinks its a good idea for me. I'm going to take only two classes at first. Hopefully one during work hours and one in the evenings. I'm pretty psyched about it.

I also have to get my immunization records. Then all I have to do is take the exam and then I'm in. I'll have to probably take a remedial algebra class for no credit at first, but that's okay. English and writing, I'll ace. :)

HUGS, HUGS, HUGS!

halloween is a very busy time around here. the one thing i miss is being able to pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters (although my neighborhood doesn't have many). but my 2 younger kids, for 3 years running, have been in the town parade and will be again this year. then, from there, it's home to grab their "loot bags" and hit the neighborhood before the 9:00 curfew.

and so it continues;) though i wouldn't trade a minute of it. i enjoy my kids and the activities i can do with them. and the cool part is they're not "embarassed" yet to be seen with me;) lol!

Hey Marci,

Nope, I'm way up north in Tallahassee. I can't remember who was from the Ft. Myers area, but I seem to recall someone from there...I know someone current is from the Tampa area. We used to have two others from Florida, one moved and the other lurks. I'll see what I can dig up.

That's such a COOL IDEA with the hand thing!!! I may adopt that just to try this year!!! I love it so much!!! :)

I don't get MANY trick or treaters...maybe 10, like you...but I still buy candy, just in hopes to have more! I tried to get my dh to go all out with me for halloween, but nope! he won't! That's okay, I don't need him!

Hugs,

Keli
