...working booths at the girls' schools fall festival this weekend. I am going to help watch kids on the bouncing castle for Jackie's class. I am manning the Pepsi booth for 30 minutes for Laura's class. I am so not looking forward to doing this. Reasons being:
1. I know absolutely no one here. I have yet to even talk to another parent. I have only talked to the room moms when they called to ask me to volunteer. But that is all.
2. I do not do well in crowds, and this is shaping up to be a very large crowd. I am serious scared of large groups of people. For example, when Rick and I would take the kids to the walkplatz(a long

(((((((((Cyn))))))) I can understand your fears of being in large crowds. A lot of people here have that trouble. But, the one thing that stuck out in my mind as I read your post was what an opportunity this is for you and your dd's......the younger one (Laura?) especially. Perhaps you will meet some of her classmates mothers and then see what happens from there. Does that make sense? It does in my head, but doesn't look right in words;) LOL!
And, maybe with the meds, that will help with the anxiety of being in the crowd. I hope so:) Have fun tackling your bedroom and make sure the stereo is cranked! Makes the work much easier;)

ugh....I would love a day to myself, crank the music up and clean like no tomorrow !!!
God could not be everywhere, so
Hi Tracy,
I am about 50% done on my room. The girls had a half day, so I am having to juggle snacks, homework, and still get my room done which is my goal for the day. I know this will be a good thing for the kids which is why I am doing it. Laura got a phone call from the little girl she got a phone number from earlier this week. She looks cute with the phone in one hand and the remote in the other cause she is channel surfing. I know what I am up for when they get older. Ok enough procrastinating, time to get cracking. The girls hate to be home when I am cleaning. They can barely hear the TV over my music. :)
Have a good day.
Love and hugs,
Cyn
Hi Donna,
I used to love being alone with just the dog for company. Now, I am to where if it's quiet I am grumpy. Of course the only people I want around is Rick and the girls. I am not sure how that came about but oh well. I am not a TV watcher, I watch the news for a few in the morning so I am kind of up to want is going on. I am a music person, and that is all I listen to.
Ok back to my room. I am half done, and the kids had a half day so I might as well whip it out before the constant question asking, and complaining they have nothing to do while I can. ;)
Have a good day.
Love and hugs,
Cyn
Cyn,
If you can keep your crowd panic under control, this really would be a great way to meet some of the other moms.
Hi Marci,
In a way I am kind of glad they are doing this. The school isn't very big. The girls have about 17 kids in their classes. They didn't do much of this in Germany. There still weren't a lot of kids, but most worked or what not. Laura got called by the little girl 3 times yesterday. She is such a goof. She was walking around with the phone between her shoulder and ear even though both of her hands were free. heehee. I just wanted to add here that I agree with you about having Jake limit is calls. It can get really expensive really quick. If he doesn't see that, then I don't know what to say. How are you feeling?
Have a good day. (((((Marci)))))
Love and hugs,
Cyn
