It was nice to hear a bit of good news for once. My nine yo is not working up to potential - but is getting straight As. :) Never though I would hear that out of a straight A student. My 6 yo who has a mood disorder possible bp is doing good in school. He would never show the teacher his moods at school, but with the meds has loosend up. He is playing with his friends more, less withdrawn, less likely to seek her approval, and more likely to be confident of himself. She noticed those things. The two youngest who are in preschool are doing good. 4yo is quiet and reserved and 3 yo (in same class) is a loud mouth.

Yeah!!!!!! Good news like that is really hard to come by within our school system! Last year my ds was the nominated poster child for causing trouble......and he swore to me that he was not doing the things he was accused of. So this year I had him separated from the kid he said was responsible for all the trouble and so far have only had 1 call from the principal and my very smart ds had already arrived at a solution to the problem before I even got the call. Might have something to do with the fact that I told ds if he put so much as 1 toe out of line in school this year he could kiss sports, nintendo, and anything else I could think of good bye!

The more I hear about this other kid, the more I believe ds was on the level last year. There are just some personality clashes that I have with the administration at the school. But that has calmed down since the acting principal (reg. one is on maternity leave) doesn't take any crap from the assistant principal and believes in giving a kid a chance to prove his innocence. Go figure! God, I'm gonna hate to see him leave!!!

Anyway, more info than what you wanted I'm sure, but just wanted to say I'm happy it went so well:)

Hugs,
