He's coming over right now!

He called and asked if he could come see Liam. He sounds very, very depressed. So I'm hoping he's starting the downslide.

Since getting off of the phone with him I've called to inpatient places and have them starting the assessment process. One of them does not have a bed until Nov 9th (which means missing his dd first birthday), the other, 2.5 hours away, has one today. They do have an outpaitient office closer in which he can do follow-up with. They both take our insurance!

So please P&PT he is actually ready and is coming to me to see the end part through, as it's been for the past 14 years.

I do not think he is one to walk through the doors by himself. He will walk through with me at his side (with turning around a few times & my gentle pushes to turn him back).

PLEASE LET TODAY BE THE DAY!

Bonnie

(((((((((((((((((((Bonnie))))))))))))))))))))) Sending tons of p & pt your way. I really hope you are right and KUDOS for calling the IP places. If he is willing, I would recommend the one that is further away only because they can get him in today. With him not on meds, you don't know when his next swing will be and you don't want to run the risk of him changing his mind and starting this whole process all over again.

Please keep us posted sweetie!

i really really really recommend getting him there today.
okay.he misses a birthday.
there will be more.
better a well father at her future birthdays than a sick one at this one.
take it from me.
& remember...
an ill person does not know they are ill.or even if they do they do not know there is a light at the end of the end of the tunnel or an end to their pain.or a ay to manage it at all.
a drunk does not know they are a drunk.
they think they have it all under control.
you are a marvalous & strong woman.
remember that.

He will NOT go while the other woman is in town (she leaves Sunday). He also says absolutely not going to the one that 2.5 hrs away. So I called one more while he was here & Nov 7th is the earliest. He did the assessment via phone for the one for Nov 9th, even though our insurance covers it I think it will be more expensive than the one for Nov 7th.

He says he doesn't want to go back to California so he'd stay here. But he's hardly even been here & he's already so annoyed being here he says as soon as he's done with this next assessment (for Nov 7th) he's going back to her hotel. But says he'll try to come back tomorrow.

i.e. spent 5 minutes with Liam.

...and so, again, we wait. But this is small progress.

I'm feeling doubtful toward our marriage, but at least our kids should have a father, even if it's only part-time.
