What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

I am thankful for many things...first and foremost I made it through another year and this year I feel better than I have in a long time...with my Bipolar, that is...but that's huge...

I am also thankful for the lessons I've learned this past year...for the disappointments and hurts that I've suffered...because they proved to make me stronger...

I am thankful for my family. I have one of the most wonderful husband's in the world...who loves me truly unconditionally...and that's an amazing thing...not many people know how to love unconditionally...I have a very handsome, very popular, well adjusted teenager...who isn't on drugs...or in trouble...I'm blessed for that.

I am thankful for my mother. She really is my best friend...though she aggravates me at every turn, I don't know what I would do without her...I don't know what I would do if the phone didn't ring 50 times a day...lol. I am thankful for my Dad. He's gone through so much with my mother...and sometimes I lose sight of what he's done for her, what he does for her every day of his life...and how it must break his heart to watch her deteriorate over the years like that...My Dad isn't perfect, but who is?

I am thankful for my job. Many people don't have a job as supportive or as flexible as mine is...I wouldn't be working right now, if it hadn't been for THIS job...I'm very thankful for it...

I am thankful for this board...and the friends I've made here...I don't have many friends...I lost them all, because of BP and mania and drugs...but I've worked very hard to rebuild my life and I'm proud of myself for my accomplishments.

I am thankful for my strength...I have only made it as far as I have because of ME! Yes, I had much support, and help along the way...but I DID THIS MYSELF! I am thankful for the ability to fight...the ability to never give up, when that is all I want to do in the world...

I am thankful most of all, for my faith in God...He knows the reasons behind all of this, and I trust that one day I will too.

I'm sorry you aren't in a good place, Marci. If you want to talk about it, you KNOW we are here...I know sometimes you get sick of talking something to death, though...

I have heard the whole hypocritical sinner speech too...and I truly hope Jen doesn't have to hear it...

Please know we love and care for you here.

I am thankful for my family especially my DDs who are the light of my life. I am also thankful for my DH, he tries to understand my illness and is very helpful to me. I really am very lucky to have my mother who watches my DD during the day and is always there when I need her. She is a great cook too. Yummy Thanksgiving is almost here.
