Good morning girls :)
I was here first so I started this thread. I wanna know what everyone is cooking or did cook (if you read this Friday)for Thanksgiving. So tell me :D

We are doing the usual Turkey, dressing, potatoes, green bean casserole, squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, a couple of Turkey rolls (turkey breast with fruit stuffing that is folled up like a jelly roll) and about 10 pies and a huge fruit salad. But there are going to be almost 40 people there(and thats just siblings and two grandparents! My family is HUGE!

Have a great day everyone

rebekah, it sounds like you are in for a really nice thanksgiving. my family is having the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe casserole, cranberry sauce, and the substitute vegetable is asparagus. it will just be me, my 3 kids and my mom. my sister and her h and kids go to his parents house. of course, for me, the day lost a lot of its festiveness anyway, so small is good.

have a good day with your family.

I'm just happy I got a free day off. God knows I couldn't get my own Thanksgiving off. I guess this is just His way of making up for it.

Mind you, I couldn't convince my mom to get me at least a turkey frozen dinner to celebrate.

We had dinner at my in-laws.

All that I had to cook/make was yams, cranberry sauce and some pies. Last year was the first time I did homemade cranberry sauce and I really like it, much more than the canned stuff. Technically I think it would be a relish not a sauce but that sounds funny to me. I was pleased because it (the cranberry sauce) was a big hit.

I brought two chocolate pudding pies and two pumpkin pies. Gotta have pumpkin.

Even though I missed having MY family nearby, I enjoyed my holiday.
