Fish Oils and BP?

My partner saw a new pdoc last Tuesday. He started him on fish oils because there has been some positive research about bp and fish oils. Unfortunately he broke out in a rash all over his body and the doc took him off of it. He does seem the most stable he has been since being hospitalized the end of Sept. It's kind of disappointing.
Does anyone have any experience with BP and fish oils? Good or bad. He takes Lithium and Zyprexa I know some meds can cause a serious rash. We are trying to figure it all out still.
Also did custody mediation for our daughter today. It went well. I have full physical custody and we do visitation on a case by case basis allowing us flexibility for him to see her as often as possible but for me to play it by ear depending on his mood.

Any info on the fish oil would help. Does anyone know if their are other types of Omega oils that are affective if someone reacts to the fish? It's kind of hard for me to surf the net much with my 20 month old daughter "helping." So if someone knows a good site I'd appreciate it.

Flaxseed...

My pdoc recommended it to me, but stubborn me never took it really...the research is pretty positive on it too as a supplement to meds.

I don't know about rashes, but a pdoc started me on fish oil more than two years ago and I've continued to take it. It does seem to help. All I take is three 1000 mg capsules a day of the regular kind you get in the health food isle of the drug store.
