A snowy day keeps the pdoc away

Folks, I had a pdoc appointment today, where he was supposed to refill my scripts. Two problems: one, I have to drive 80 miles into the U.S. from Canada to go to the pdoc due to the fact I can't get healthcare in Ontario yet, and two, six inches of snow were predicted for buffalo, with white outs possible. Both my mother and my husband really urged me to cancel my appointment and do something to make it up. It is now too late for me to get down there in time...
...I called the clinic, and asked if the doc could talk to me over the phone and maybe phone my scripts into the pharmacy. They said they'd check, but they didn't think that was possible...
I run out of meds the day after Christmas. It looks like if I get them at all, I'll have to go into the er and hope for the best. Sigh!

ok, I don't really understand why they can't do a phone conversation considering the situation !!
God could not be everywhere, so
My pdoc does phone with me all the time...she always calls in my meds over the phone too, even if I haven't been in...I agree with Donna, this is crap.
Hang in there...keep us posted!
Love and Hugs,
Keli
