Well, she was serious about her threat. H got her a hotel b/c she wouldn't leave, but scared him bad enough he ended up bringing her back to his apt. She took off & bought some whisky, came back and drank a fifth in less than 2 hrs. She was sitting there saying 'you're going back to your family and I'll never hear from you again, I have nothing to live for.' Then she fell back & hit her head on the wall. H asked if she had taken any pills and she said yes. He tried to take her to the ER but she wouldn't go so he called an ambulence.
He apologized to me. Said he wanted this to be over today, wanted her gone & have her mom or her H take care of her. He's calling her H now to let him know what's going on & hopefully he'll take care of her once she goes back to her house.
What a mess!
(No my H didn't drink with her, he is keeping his 4:30 apt with the addictive councelor, don't know if he'll hospitalize himself now as he'll be worried about her while she is still in town.)

Oh Bonnie, what a nightmare! That must have been scary for your DH. I hope he takes care of himself, as he can't control what the OW does. When is she supposed to go home? It seems like she has been there for awhile now. Do you know if she was admitted to the hospital? Maybe they will keep her in the hospital for awhile.
Please keep us posted. Take care,
Lori
Yes, the state took custody of her. Since H is not a relative he does not know anything, including when she'll be released. I know in UT it's 72 hrs as H became suicidal 8 yrs ago after a bad manic attack (didn't understand what that was until I've educated myself now). But I believe it's shorter in OR.
I did call the psych unit at the nearby hospital 1.5 weeks ago as H really scared me. They wouldn't give me a straight answer how long they hold suicide attempts for, but it only sounded like it might be 24 hrs.
I'm hoping her mother will come up. She suffers from MS, so I don't know how hard it is for her to travel. H doesn't think she will, but I as a mother I think she might. I know the mother was traveling from UT to CA while OWs grandmother was dying.
I hope so, then H can finally release himself.
