I am so tired of the battle that I have been fighting for the last 9 months. I feel like I just want to give up...
My meds make me SO tired. I am talking sleeping 14-18 hours a night. I got so tired of the sleeping and not being able to function because I am so tired... about a week and a half ago I went off my meds for four days. I slept a normal 8 hours.. got up.. and was productive each day... until day four and then my world came crashing in around me. I also have OCD and the intrusive thoughts started pouring in and I starting sleeping more again because I was going into a depressive state. I confessed my "little experiment" to my family and was told never to do that again. I know it isn't the way to fix things... I just got so fed up of sleeping my life away.
My Pdoc just keeps putting me on the same things that aren't working for me. Last visit all I kept saying to him is "I am so tired" and he brushed it off with "It has been a long day, huh?" How many times do you have to cry out you are exhausted before someone will hear you?
Tommorow is my last appointment for the year. Tommorow I promise myslef that I am going to make it clear that I can't go on like this anymore. I need help. I haven't worked in the last 9 months (can't work manic depressed and OCD'ing, can't work sleeping all day long) and COBRA is going up to $386.00 a month for the new year. I have to find help soon... because I need to get back to work.
Thanks for listening...
Kris

Kris,
OMG have I been there done that!!! But my pdoc listens very well to me now...we've been together for over four years now...and she knows I know as much as she does about my BP and my meds...anyway, you have to SCREAM at them sometimes...its YOUR body/brain, YOUR choice as to what meds you will and won't take...they don't have to live with the side affects...only you do. SO BE FIRM!!!
When I was on Seroquel, I was such a zombie...ugh. I did the same thing, sleep for 14 or more hours a night, then was sooooo groggy the next day...it never went away...so I told pdoc I wasn't taking it anymore, and she replaced it with something else. There are many choices out there.
Hang in there, and post whenever you want! We're here for you!
