Raging hormones!

I stopped bleeding Christmas Eve. But now my right ear tube is loose and poking my ear drum and Eustachian tube causing a lot of pain all the way down my neck. It also changes the pressure in my ear causing it to pop, LOUD constantly. I'm sure my neighbors can hear it! Until it loosens some more I will just have to put up with it. I'm such a WUSS!

I am a bit worried that I haven't really gained hardly any weight and all my clothes (well, NOT my bra) still fit. I go to my regular OB on Thursday and I'm worried they won't find a heartbeat. I should be hitting about 14 weeks on Friday. With my uterus folded in half the baby is still stuck on my left side. I have just started swelling a bit on the left side especially at night too. I hope the baby unfolds my uterus. A left sided pregnancy would be very painful!! I guess with miscarriages running rampant in my family I will not stop worrying until delivery day. I am afraid to even love this baby for fear of loosing it. My DH keeps telling me what a pessimist I am. Yeah, whatever. At least for now, I am eating like a pig and not gaining one pound. Funny, when I want to gain weight nothing happens!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I'm glad the bleeding finally stopped...I'm sure that is a good sign.

FYI ... I can only afford to fly to SLC once a year (where my family lives), which I was doing during the holidays. So at the beginning of my 3rd trimester I was a little embarressed to be having a baby shower when you could not look at me & see I was pregnant. I was not wearing maternity clothes, just larger clothes. (Actually I think they were my H clothes.)

One week later I flew home wearing maternity clothes & watched my H's eyes pop when he saw me wobbling toward him. It happened in a night! My siblings were laughing at me as I was thin when I went to bed & in the morning came up with a belly.

With your first you just tend to show later.

-----------

When I mc'd I bled until all the pg hormones were gone, 12w to be exact, so mc at 12w & bled for another 12w. That was after passing a sac. Though, I think it was twins & my body was absorbing the other. So I believe you not bleeding any longer is a good sign, especially since you saw a hb recently.

Hang in there. Think of positive thoughts. I've never attached to my baby's in vetro. It is something that always happens after birth for me. In fact, I need to have them lay diapered down on my naked chest to start to build the bond. (Even if there is not attachment there is still a great deal of pain of loss - so you cannot protect yourself.)

Listen to your instinct. If you feel you need to get into an OB immediately, demand it until you do. If you feel like you can wait a day or two, chances are things are still going well & you're nervous.

Hang in there
