Hello all!
I am new to this board after leaving another board after two years because of ethical disagreements, which I won't go into.
I have been diagnosed a little over two years, I am 29, married mother of 2 boys, ages 4 & 5. I work at a loca=l univeristy in the financial aid office, and I am also attending graduate school classes to be a therapist.
I am bp 1 rapid cycler. Taking Depakote & Zoloft (many other meds for other conditions but those are my bp meds) Fairly stable for a while now. Except for that time of the month LOL! I also have fibromyalgia, TMJ, Carpal Tunnel, Scoliosis, Migraines, High Blood Pressure, Pre-Diabetes, Plantar Facitiis....
When I get my masters, I want to work with people with bp, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder (basically "abnormal" psych) and also people with physical disabilities. THen maybe onto my Ph.D someday. I have full support of my doctor. I someday hope to have a facility where I can work with other professionals in a wide variety of areas to address a persons whole being, physical, mental and spiritual (I am also focusing in christian counseling, although I have different views on christianity and spirituality and am very open to other schools of thoughts, but I can go on forever on my theories there!)
Anyway, I am lookinf forward to meeting new friends!

Hi and Welcome back !!!
can't wait to get to know you better...glad you found us again.
I'll give more info on Monday...getting ready to leave work, and no access at home !!
God could not be everywhere, so
Welcome.
I just have one question. How do you find time? I seem busy with just my 3 kids, let alone all you do. Kudos to you.

I have no idea, my pdoc has said the same thing. I am a person however, who goes nuts from inactivity, I seem to thrive on chaos. I actually get triggered when I am bored LOL! Do not give my brain time on its own at all! HAHA.
Seriously though, I work full time, go to class this semester one day a week which my boss lets me go to during the day and I make up my time by skipping lunches a couple days a week, my husband works nights, so nights I am home with the kids. So it all works out. Although not all of my classes will be daytime, so I am taking it one class at a time and may have to find nighttime childcare in the future....fun. And I will be spending my weekends and nights doing homework.

Hi Lisalyanne and welcome:) I also am going to school to become a lcsw. I've got a long way to go in comparison to where you are though. I will receive my associates in July (hopefully), then on to my bachelor's then masters, then sit for the license 2 years after that. I am a single mom of 3 - dd 16, dd 12, and ds 9 and I drive a school bus for a living. I am using the online college program which allows me to basically go to class during the times I am able - like when I'm in between bus runs and the kids are at school:) The one thing I don't like about the program I'm in is there are no "breaks" in between quarters/semesters. For example, today (Sunday) is the last day of one quarter, tomorrow I start the new quarter. That has its perks though as well.
